Accessibility Statement for Rhinog Park

At Rhinog Park, we are committed to ensuring that all visitors can safely and comfortably enjoy the park. We place people and their diverse needs at the heart of everything we do, aiming to create an inclusive environment for both holidaymakers and residents. Our goal is to cater to a wide range of needs through ongoing consultation with individuals and guidance from relevant organizations and charities.

Following the principles set out by The Sensory Trust, we have actively sought ways to improve accessibility at Rhinog Park. As part of these efforts, we are pleased to share that our newly designed Reception Area is fully wheelchair accessible and equipped with wheelchair-friendly toilets.  Service dogs are also welcome on the park.

In addition, our Park Warden, Andy Clark, has completed IHASCO training in disability awareness, as well as Welcome to Excellence training in customer service and accessibility. These initiatives help us enhance our ability to support all guests.

While we have made significant progress, we recognize that some areas still pose challenges for individuals with mobility issues. Currently, our lodges do not have ramp access, and access to Rhinog Park by foot requires crossing the railway line at Dyffryn Ardudwy, which is not wheelchair accessible.

We are also mindful that not all disabilities are visible, and we strive to accommodate each individual’s unique needs to the best of our ability. We encourage our guests with disabilities to share feedback on our services and facilities, and to offer suggestions for further improvements. Your insights are invaluable to us, and will be considered carefully as we plan future enhancements to Rhinog Park.
